directions to central square
Central Square is conveniently located near the commuter
train (T) station in Lynn and the Lynn Campus of North Shore Community College.
From Routes 128/95 North
- after 3 miles, pass Wyoma Square – continue to traffic signal and bear right onto Boston Street
- after 1⁄2 mile, turn left at lights (before Stop & Shop) onto Washington Street
- take Washington Street past courthouse and Lynn Police.
- go straight through next stop sign mindful of diagonal intersections
- pass under commuter rail track and turn left at next lights onto Union Street (Lynn Museum on corner)
- at next light, you are in Central Square (see clock tower on opposite side of train overpass)
- continue on Union or turn right onto Exchange Street for parking
From Route 1/ Tobin Bridge
- Travel Route 1 North to Lynnfield/Lynn/129 exit and at traffic signal, bear right following 129 east to Lynn
- from rotary, follow directions above
From 1A North/Boston
- at 4th traffic signal get into left lane for downtown Lynn, turn left, stay in the right lane.
- at next light, turn right onto Broad Street
- at next light, bear left onto Union Street and pass Lynn Museum
- at second light, you are in Central Square (see clock tower on opposite side of train overpass)
From 1A South/Swampscott
- travel 1A South into Lynn (Lewis Street/Broad Street) and at 5th traffic light enter right lane
- bear right at ‘V’ in road onto Exchange Street (Route 129 West)
- at next light, you are in Central Square Parking Park on Exchange or continue on Union. Parking also available in public lots at commuter station and behind Sovereign Bank on Spring Street after 5PM
